7 days, 6 nights

8 guests maximum

All-inclusive

Spend seven unforgettable days living on a private working ranch in Uruguay, the kind of experience you will talk about for the rest of your life.

You will ride across thousands of hectares of open countryside, swim in a beautiful river, herd cattle alongside local gauchos, camp beneath the stars, learn to lasso and build your confidence at faster riding paces. We will share traditional Uruguayan asados beneath the trees, home-cooked meals and slow evenings around the fire.

For one week, you will become part of real ranch life, far away from crowds and busy schedules.

No riding experience is required, most guests join alone and everything is organised for you from arrival to departure. Only eight guests can join.

Why We Keep Coming Back

The first time we arrived, the outside world stopped mattering.

The small community at the ranch became our whole world. All we cared about were the animals, the horses we were riding, the beautiful rides ahead of us, the endless landscape and the golden sunsets at the end of each day.

That is the feeling we want you to experience here. We will ride over the hills, have barbecues outside, swim in beautiful rivers and rest beneath the trees with the horses beside us. At night, the sky is filled with more stars than you can imagine, and if we are lucky enough to be there beneath a full moon, it is incredible.

You are surrounded by nature all day, every day. It gives you a sense of freedom that stays with you long after you leave.

Not a Tourist Attraction

A real working ranch.

The horses, cattle work and gaucho traditions you will experience here are not put on for visitors. They are part of daily life on the land.

Our group has the ranch house privately for the week, and with only eight guests, the experience stays small and personal.

The Horses

The horses and riding

The ranch is home to hardy Criollo horses that are calm, intelligent and accustomed to long days in open terrain.

At the beginning of the trip, you will be carefully matched with a horse and saddle based on your experience, confidence and comfort. This will be your horse for the week, giving you time to understand each other and build a real connection.

Riding level
Beginner to intermediate
Time in the saddle
Approximately 3–8 hours per day
Terrain
Open fields, rivers and gentle countryside trails
Pace
Mainly relaxed, with opportunities to trot and canter

You do not need previous riding experience, but you should have reasonable fitness and be comfortable spending several hours outdoors. Beginners will receive guidance throughout the week, and nobody will be pressured to ride faster than they feel ready for. Activities are adapted where possible so every guest can progress at a safe and comfortable pace.

Where You Sleep

Your private ranch stay

Our group will have an authentic ranch house entirely to ourselves. It is warm, comfortable and full of character, with shared spaces for meals, relaxing and evenings outside.

It is not a luxury hotel. It is a real ranch house surrounded by open land, animals and nature.

The house has multiple bedrooms, which are shared between the eight guests. Bathrooms are shared as well. You will spend five nights in the ranch house and one night camping beneath the stars.

Day by Day

Your 7-day itinerary

The schedule may change slightly depending on the weather, the horses and the needs of the ranch.

01
Arrival and settling in
We travel together to the ranch, settle into the house and carefully match each rider with their horse and saddle for the week. In the late afternoon, we take a relaxed first ride so you can get comfortable in the saddle, followed by a welcome dinner together.
02
Horses and the river
After a light breakfast, we head out early for a long ride across the campo. We finish beside the river, where brunch will be waiting and you can swim and relax beneath the trees. After an unhurried rest during the hottest part of the day, we saddle up for a late ride into the sunset before dinner.
03
Games and camping
After breakfast, we hold a fun horseback game competition for everyone who wants to join. Following lunch and some time to prepare, we saddle up around 16:00 and ride deeper into the estancia to reach our camp. That evening, we cook over the fire, sing together and sleep beneath an incredible sky with the horses nearby.
04
Back to the ranch and bonfire night
After a simple breakfast at camp, we begin the long morning ride back to the ranch. We have lunch and a free afternoon to rest before gathering for an open-air grill, a bonfire and karaoke that may run late into the evening.
05
Galloping day
After breakfast, we ride to an open field for galloping lessons. We have lunch outside, spend time capturing photos and videos, and enjoy another beautiful ride back to the ranch. After dinner, we wind down with a movie night.
06
Cattle work and farewell dinner
After breakfast, the gauchos teach us the traditional skill of lassoing. Following lunch and some free time, we saddle up for one of the biggest highlights of the week: a real cattle-herding session alongside the ranch team. We finish our final full day with a farewell dinner together.
07
Departure
After breakfast, we pack, say goodbye to the ranch team and our horses, and take the scheduled group transfer back to Montevideo Airport.

Good to Know

Transfers, food and dietary requirements

Transfers. One scheduled group transfer from Montevideo Airport to the ranch on 8 March and one scheduled return transfer on 14 March are included. We will share the exact meeting point and transfer times before you book your flights. If your flight does not connect with the scheduled group transfer, any additional transport will need to be arranged and paid for separately.

Food and dietary requirements. All meals are included, from home-cooked ranch meals to traditional asados and outdoor lunches. Vegetarian meals can be provided when requested in advance. Unfortunately, because of the remote location, available ingredients and the food culture of the ranch, we cannot accommodate a fully vegan diet.

Coming Alone?

Most guests do.

You do not need to convince a friend or partner to come with you. With only eight guests, the group gets to know each other quickly through the rides, shared meals and daily adventures.

You get the freedom of travelling solo without having to organise the logistics or experience the trip alone.

Honestly

Is this trip right for you?

This is for you if you

  • Love horses, nature and outdoor adventure
  • Want authentic ranch life rather than a tourist version of it
  • Would like to travel alone within a friendly small group
  • Want a fully organised trip without a packed, rigid schedule
  • Are open to simple accommodation, changing weather and getting dusty
  • Want to learn new skills and challenge yourself in a supportive environment

This is probably not for you if

  • You are looking for a luxury hotel
  • You want private service
  • You need a perfectly fixed itinerary

This is a working ranch, so plans sometimes change with the weather, animals and ranch work. That authenticity is exactly what makes the experience special.
